I put a lot of effort into my job—I moved to the city for my job. I’m a hair stylist. I've been doing hair now for 7 years. I like that I get to be so social and see so many different types of people but still be creative. Not only do I get the creativity, but I also learn a lot from whoever’s sitting in my chair for that hour or two hours. If you have an issue with a friend or a relationship or family, when you’re a hairstylist, people want to talk to you about this kind of thing, so of course they’re going to give you their advice. You hear different things all day, but it’s kind of nice because you see so many different perspectives that you can narrow out what you think for yourself. Maybe somebody makes you look at it differently before you actually deal with an issue, or they make you understand somebody else’s perspective that you didn’t understand previously.
